West Yorkshire Medic Response Team (WYMRT) exists to provide additional support to the regional ambulance trust - Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS).
Experienced doctors and emergency drivers work on a voluntary basis for the Scheme. A fast response car is used to attend the scenes of serious medical and traumatic emergencies.
The Scheme is currently funded by St. John Ambulance and has secured sponsorship from the Leeds Hospital Fund. Close ties with YAS are in place and we aim to help both support and supplement the work of emergency ambulance crews.
