The car is staffed on Friday and Saturday evenings and covers the West Yorkshire region of northern England.
A wide variety of conditions may benefit from the presence of a doctor - in particular, those patients requiring advanced airway management and special types of medication to relieve pain.
The Scheme endeavors to support and supplement the work of YAS personnel and we are proud of the excellent working relationship we have with the regional ambulance service.
Typical examples of incidents that are attended include:
* road traffic collisions (RTCs)
* penetrating trauma (stabbings, shootings, impalements)
* falls from a height
* cardiac arrests
