Ongoing Support

Funding to ensure that WYMRT can continue its important work through out 2010 has been secured thanks to Sovereign Health Care’s ongoing generous financial support.

Due to the success of the partnership in 2009, a further donation has been made that ensures WYMRT can continue to provide pre-hospital medical support to the communities of West Yorkshire.

WYMRT Funding Success

Representatives from WYMRT met Sovereign Health Care’s Chief Executive, David Lewis, in recognition of his company’s generous financial support of the Scheme. The funding secures WYMRT’s future for the following year and has also allowed for new uniforms to be purchased.

WYMRT are extremely grateful to Sovereign for their financial contribution and support of the Scheme’s aims. For more information about Sovereign Health Care, visit: www.sovereignhealthcare.co.uk

WYMRT Educational Meetings

WYMRT are re-launching their successful series of educational meetings at the end of March 2009. These will be held on a monthly basis in Leeds and aim to help support the educational objectives of the charity.

Hosting a variety of speakers who are experts in their field, WYMRT members and allied ambulance service professionals will be given the opportunity to listen to didactic talks and also undertake practical training.

The meetings will be free to attend and CPD certification will be provided as evidence of attendees participation. Follow the ‘education’ link in the sidebar to learn more.

A New Beginning!

West Yorkshire Medic Response Team (WYMRT) is today formed under a new charter as an independent charity (registration pending). Funding has generously been granted by Sovereign Health Care who will sponsor WYMRT through out 2009.

The new charity will facilitate the ongoing training and mentorship of doctors working in the field of pre-hospital care. We will continue to serve the communities of West Yorkshire with high quality care at the point of need. Our close working relationship with Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) continues and provides a feed of new doctors for the YAS-BASICS rota.

We remain grateful to Leeds Hospital Fund and St. John Ambulance for their support over the last few years.
